European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted individuals that were central to efforts to introduce legislation regulating American tech companies.
“For far too long, European activists have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to pressure American platforms to punish US perspectives they oppose,” stated the US secretary of state online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of extraterritorial censorship.”
